Leadership Matters: Managing Cybersecurity Risk in Health Care
Brought to you by the American Hospital Association in conjunction with BDO Consulting USA

What You'll Learn:

The program will feature information on how to efficiently and effectively manage cyber risk, including how to mitigate, detect, respond to and recover from a cyberattack. The program will not be technical; instead, it will focus on best practice leadership behaviors to reduce the likelihood and impact of a cyber event. The program will feature sessions led by BDO Consulting USA, including John Riggi, former FBI special agent and Section Chief for Cyber Division Outreach. The program will also feature experts from federal agencies and key local law-enforcement officials focused on cyber-attack response, as well as AHA staff experts on cybersecurity policy. Key topics include:

  • Cyber threat landscape overview — why health care is uniquely at risk
  • The CEO’s role in assessing your organization’s cybersecurity program
  • Incident response planning and the role of cyber intelligence
  • Crisis communications for boards, hospital leadership and external agencies — and more
